Kenny Walker is a former American professional basketball player who played as a forward for the University of Kentucky Wildcats from 1982 to 1986. He was born on August 18, 1964, in Roberta, Georgia, United States. During his college career, Kenny Walker was a two-time All-SEC selection and the SEC Player of the Year Award winner in 1986.
Walker was selected by the New York Knicks in the first round of the 1986 NBA Draft and went on to play in the NBA for nine seasons with four teams, including the Knicks and the Washington Bullets. He was known for his spectacular dunks and was the NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion in 1989.
After his playing career was over, Walker became a college basketball analyst and commentator for various networks, including ESPN and SEC Network. In 2015, he was inducted into the University of Kentucky Athletics Hall of Fame.
